Ferrari Design and the pursuit of perfection

Enzo Ferrari took great pride and passion in racing and in order to grow his business and fund his racing he started to manufacture and sell production cars.  Enzo Ferrari built relationships and worked with a handful of designers. 

While Ferrari had designers of their own the three most famous are Giovanni Bertone and Battista Farina (Pinafarina) These designers were leaders in their field since 1952. 

Pinafarina and Ferrari have enjoyed great success in the last 30 years.  In 2008 it was very unfortunate when Andrea Pininfarina was killed in a very unfortunate accident.  In an interview before his death he had put the top ten designs in chronological order.
